Hoboken Girl’s Guide to Weekend Events: May 10th Edition

Alicia from Hoboken Townery brings you this weekend events. Check out Townery (it’s super awesome!) where you can post any events for Hoboken (or some other cities). It’s like a (safe, hip) Hoboken events craigslist.

Anyway, lots of cover bands and music this weekend. Among other things:

1. DJ Kurt from The Boken and the Hoboken Social Sandbox are teaming up for a Friday night at 8pm at ONieals (343 Park Avenue). I’m definitely heading over with some friends to check it out. Get there fast because the first 20 people get a complimentary drink of beer, wine, or house liquor. DJ Kurt is known to spin an eclectic mix, and he even states that his tastes range from “70′s funk, 80′s pop, classic rock,  old school hip hop, and some of the newer folk based alternative rock and party music as well.” It should definitely be a good time in a cozy, fun Hoboken environment. Hope you can make it!

2. If you’re not into eclectic iPod mixes (which automatically makes you kind of lame), Friday night at Wicked Wolf the cover band Big Bang Baby is performing. Looks a little intense, but hey – who knows?
