After 13 years in Hoboken, Air Studios Boutique has moved from its well-known location at 155 First Street to just around the corner to 92 Hudson Street. Air Studios has been known for its high-end vintage pieces and NYC designer collections. Its new 1400 square foot locale houses influential designers’ collections such as 3.1 Phillip Lim and Twenty8Twelve.
1 Fifty Five (a sister store) took Air Studios’ place at 5 First Street this March, housing a more beachy, vibrant, and travel-centric collection. I wrote about it here.
During my visit a few weeks ago, I was excited to see the store’s new layout and location. Here’s what the mannequins looked like, with the trendiest (yet subdued) colors, of course:
When you’re in Air Studios Boutique, sometimes it feels like you’ve stepped into the East Village rather than Hoboken. It’s a laid back, stylish atmosphere.
I previously posted this Phillip Lim razor back tank in camel on my Boutique Buzz, but really, who wouldn’t pair this with a pair of blue skinny jeans? Adorbs.
I’d say Air Studios is a feminine and chic take on dressy casual. If you buy a piece from here, chances are it’s going to be an essential item that is frequently complimented in your closet! You can find something for any type of occasion – a night out, dinner date, work….you name it! Designers’ collections are nothing to scoff at, either. The store houses DVF, Vivienne Tam, Phillip Lim, MZ Wallace, and Riller & Fount pieces, among others.
However, I have two favorite parts of Air Studios:
1. Their showcased jewelry is all vintage! I absolutely adore vintage.
2. There’s a FREE candy counter! Talk about a sweet way to shop. No pun intended. Well, kinda.
Tip: Go with the Swedish Fish. They’re my fave.
Make sure to check out Air Studios Boutique’s new location. Its bold prints and feminine, stylish take on contemporary styles won’t disappoint! Make sure you stop by on Saturdays; they serve Mimosas. And you know how I feel about those!
